General Information
An audience response system is a tool to encourage audience
participation and interest. Each student gets a clicker, and
questions are displayed through a PowerPoint presentation.
Students respond to the questions, and the results are displayed
on the screen. This can lead to further discussions on the
subject and allow the instructor to know if the majority of the
students understand the material presented.
The use of an audience response system during curriculum
presentations has been shown to improve student participation,
improve retention of subject matter, and increase exam scores.
This system is available for
undergraduate medical curriculum-related
activities. We use the eInstruction InterWrite PRS RF Clickers.
