· The Technology Education Session Schedule was reviewed and approved for review by the EPC on February 11 and IMPC on February 14. There was brief discussion regarding details and logistics of the February 27 session on Educational Delivery Systems. Terri Cameron will develop and distribute a poster and send an e-mail to the school community. It was noted that the session conflicts with the Year 2 exam and the external curriculum evaluator visit, so resources will be stretched.
· The Assessment Software Needs Assessment summary data was reviewed and approved for review by the EPC on February 11 and IMPC on February 14.
· Informatics in the Curriculum was briefly discussed. Terri Cameron was asked to provide information regarding previous attempts to introduce informatics into the curriculum, as well as information regarding how this topic is covered at other medical schools.
· Since the PDA Project Oversight Group is nearly identical to the IT Subcommittee, it was suggested that the IT Subcommittee subsume responsibility for oversight of the project. It was stressed that OEC needs to continue to provide strong day-to-day support of the project and that it should be a regular agenda item for the IT Subcommittee. Rich Jordan, who supports the Family and Community Medicine Clerkship technology initiatives, will be asked to join the subcommittee. This issue will also go to the EPC and IMPC for review at their February meetings.
· Review of Survey Data: not discussed.
· The next meeting of the subcommittee is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Harbinger Conference Room in Springfield and Lindegren 310 in Carbondale.
