Suburbia’s Ghetto(Based on a true story)
When you think about the ‘burbs, you’re probably thinkin’ the normal way, Big houses, nice cars, a driveway. A nice place for a kid to run around the yard in, And watch his Mama water the garden. Pooper scoopers in every garage, And after the dog gets walked, it gets a massage. I’m sick of all the glitz, glamour, and glory, ‘Cause I’m livin’ proof of the untold story, yo. I takes it back to ’94, That’s when the cops handcuffed my Pops and walked him out the door. Battery and assault!! But he claimed the marks around my Mama’s neck wasn’t his fault. Her eye swollen like a bubble, He knew he was in trouble ‘cause the tears told the story of struggle. Huddled wit’ four lil’ kids and no plan B, She lookin’ at the sky like, “Lord, this can’t be!” The family had to pull it together, Through all the rig-a-ma-ro and stormy weather. Forever and ever united we were gonna stand, We moved to sooth the pain and grab each other’s hands. Hopin’-open today’s paper what do we read? My raggedy Dad-de-dy planted a foul seed. To feed the need for the CRACK, He packed up his postal sac and threw responsibility to the back. A lackluster performance caused the customers to storm in the job like they got robbed. A sob story-the grounds for the litigation was solicitation while at Weather’s Station. Pacin’ and chasin’ a dream-scratchin’ them Lottery tickets, eatin’ chicken, finger lickin’ all in the kitchen. But ain’t paid a bill, Wakes up and can’t wait to chill. A pill for the stressor causin’ the high blood pressure. Guess the situation was overbearin’ A like mind plus the queen size amongst the things they wasn’t sharin’. Declarin’ a truce was next to impossible, So I guess she figured, “Playa, you kinda gotta go!”
Suburbia’s ghetto! What they know about Suburbia’s ghetto! What! What! What! Suburbia’s ghetto! What they know about Suburbia’s ghetto! Yo!
