Nurses

Years ago,

I had nurses.

I gave orders. Do this, do that.

Kicking, screaming.

I need food, medicine. I need you here.

The nurses smiled at me.

Now, I have nurses.

I give orders. Go here, see to this,

why hasn't it been done already?

Kicking,

screaming.

They need food, medicine. They need you there.

The nurses smile at me.

Someday, I will have nurses.

And I will give orders.

Kicking,

screaming.

Here's the problem,

why don't you understand, here's where it went wrong.

It's all gone to hell.

I need food, medicine. I need you here.

They will look at me,

and smile.
