Lady Killer
You never see me, but you feel me.
In the darkness of a night time walk.
In the quiet of the library after everyone has left.
You feel it.
You know it.
Just you and me.
You feel my cool breezy charm blow across your neck.
You hear me right behind you as you race up the stairs.
My footsteps pound and pound.
In the silence, I am there.
You feel my icy stare as you turn away,
and when you look back I’m just another face in the
crowd.
But I’m more than that, and something less.
Come on, you know who I am.
You’ve met me a hundred times in the hallowed sanctity
of your unspoken fears.
I’m your worst enemy…
and your best friend.
Your biggest motivator is what I am.
I watch you all the time.
