Seasons of Fudge
Winter arrived – I was so happy it snowed,
But I stayed inside – safe from the cold,
Cooking and cleaning and eating fudge;
Dreaming of Spring – which I love so much.
Soon there are flowers, birds – and rain –
I’m in the house and once again,
Cooking and cleaning and eating fudge;
Dreaming of Summer – which I love so much.
Swimming, green grass, and bare feet,
I stay inside – there’s too much heat
Cooking and cleaning and eating fudge;
Dreaming of fall – which I love so much.
Sunsets of gold, ducks and geese calling,
I’d take a walk – but my body’s appalling.
So, much to my chagrin,
I’m in the house – and once again,
Cooking and Cleaning and things of such;
Dreaming of… Fudge – which I love so much.
