ESSENTIAL  PDA SOFTWARE

In addition  to the software that comes with each PDA (Calculator, Date Book, Expense Tracker, Graffiti, Mail, Memo Pad, To Do List), there are other software programs available for download.  Each of these sites requires you to register and set up user ids and passwords before downloading software.  Onscreen instructions walk you through the process of downloading  the software and synchronizing with your PDA.  You should be at a computer with a cradle, with your PDA in the cradle, as you download this software.

Some of these sites require personal information.  You are under no obligation to provide your personal information.  For birthdate, use 01/01/1975; for phone, 217-545-4969; for zip code, use 62794-9622.  Required fields are noted with an asterisk or change in color.  Do not bother to complete fields that are not required.

In order to connect wirelessly to the school's network, you must purchase and install a VPN client on your PDA.  There are currently two products which support our network:

  • Antha
    • anthavpn 5.6 supports Palm OS
    • anthavpn 5.0 supports Windows Mobile 2005 (5.0)
  • Apani
    • supports operating systems older than Windows Mobile 2005 (5.0) -- new version coming soon.
