Office of Education and Curriculum
Educational Policy Council
nTIME (New Technologies in Medical Education) Subcommittee
CHARGE:
-
The committee is charged to evaluate and make recommendations for the use of new technologies (Such as simulations, Google Wave, etc.) for improving educational experiences and the curriculum. The interaction of the electronic health record and other technologies is also important. The committee should be visionary, and not bound by conventional thinking. Actually, the committee itself can set its agenda and make recommendations for its charge. Both Dr. Klamen and Dr. Kruse will attend the first meeting or two as the committee commences its work. The EPC will expect short monthly reports at the scheduled EPC meetings, and written summaries of activities and recommendations at least twice a year. Several other faculty members will be asked if they wish to join the committee. Committee members' recommendations about others for the committee are welcome, especially for the resident physician spots.
