Credit Union Membership
Membership in one of
three credit unions is available to all
SIU School of Medicine employees.
Credit Union 1 offers direct deposit or payroll deduction for savings, checking and loan accounts, as well as credit cards at lower-than-average interest rates. Open to all State of Illinois employees, Credit Union 1 maintains a large facility at 225 College Street in Springfield and at other locations throughout the state.
The SIU Employees Credit Union is located in Carbondale but its services are available to out-based SIU employees. Employees may take advantage of savings accounts, share draft accounts and personal and auto loans.
Memorial Medical Center Credit Union recently opened its membership to
include employees of SIU-SM and their immediate family members. The
MMC Credit Union is located at 800 N. Rutledge, Room C18 and offers direct
deposit for savings and checking.
Employees may sign up for payroll
deduction with one of the other two credit unions but not both. Only one payroll deduction is allowed for a credit union.

U.S. Savings Bonds
United States Savings Bonds are available for purchase through a convenient payroll deduction plan. |
