Every employee is a
valued member of the SIU School of Medicine team helping to bring
learning, teaching and healing to Central Illinois. The
contributions of all team members are critical to our success. There
are several programs to recognize and reward outstanding performance
and contributions of our fellow team members.
This
award recognizes a group for their "outstanding contributions in
delivering service or improving health outcomes or work
processes." All staff and faculty at the School are eligible
and any employee can nominate a group for this award.
This program recognizes the
outstanding efforts of the staff and faculty and focus on behaviors that show by example the attitudes and values that the CQI initiative is trying to promote
within the School. Any employee is eligible for this 'instant' recognition.
This
recognition is designed to recognize the outstanding contributions of the
School's approximately 750 civil service employees. Employees receiving this honor
are treated to lunch with the Dean, receive a certificate recognizing this
achievement, are invited to the annual recognition luncheon,
have their photograph taken to hang in the Dean's Lobby and
are eligible to be named Civil Service Employee of the Year!
The
twelve Civil Service Employees that have received Employee of the
Month honors are eligible to be named Civil Service Employee of the
Year. The Employee of the Year is named and recognized with a
monetary award and certificate at the annual recognition
luncheon.
Any
Civil Service employee who has supervisory responsibilities is eligible to
be nominated for Supervisor of the Year. Supervisors are nominated
by their staff based upon their outstanding contributions to their units or the
School as a whole. Nominations are taken at the start of each year
and the Supervisor of the Year is named at the annual recognition
luncheon.
This
recognition is designed to recognize the outstanding contributions of the
School's Principal Administrative employees. Employees receiving this honor
receive a clock and are invited to lunch with the Dean.
The
School is proud to recognize the long standing service of our many
dedicated employees. Employees that have been employed at the School
for five years receive a lapel pin and are invited to attend the annual
recognition luncheon. After ten, fifteen and twenty years of service
employees receive appropriate mementos marking the occasion. |
