Wednesday, May 7, 2008 - 12:00 Noon
Pharmacology Conference Room 3313 - 801 N. Rutledge
SIU School of Medicine, Springfield, IL
Summary: Forkhead transcription factors are essential for embryonic development and have been implicated in tumor formation, chromatin remodeling, and cell fate determination. We are interested in the role of forkhead factors in the pituitary gland during development and how they may contribute to pituitary diseases such as congenital pituitary hormone deficiency and the formation and progression of pituitary adenomas. Our studies focus on the forkhead factors, FOXL2, FOXP3, and FOXD1
