Natalie Dougherty, HSDG
My primary responsibilities include providing coordination and clerical support for education and development activities in the SIU Department of Population Science and Policy. Specifically, I manage the population science and policy curriculum and assist in the administration of the MD/MPH program.
In the past I have lived in Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia. All of these places provided me with valuable experience and allowed me to engage with a wide variety of people of different cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic and geographic backgrounds. As a result, a diverse environment is where I feel most comfortable, and SIU School of Medicine has been a fantastic addition to my journey.
I moved to the Springfield area in 2008 from Lexington, Virginia, and prior to my arrival at SIU SOM in 2013, I worked in administration at the Illinois General Assembly as well as in education. My previous roles at the School of Medicine include Office Support Specialist with the Division of Urology and Office Manager with the SIU Foundation. I appreciate having this unique opportunity to meet new people and be of service to DPSP.
