Stacy Grundy, MPH
My primary responsibilities include managing, coordinating, and facilitating community based population science and policy projects.
I was born and raised in Alexander County, IL (the southernmost county in the state). I received my B.S in Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and my MPH in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Presently, I am a doctoral student at the University Of South Florida, concentrating in Advanced Practice Leadership in Public Health.
For over 8 years, I served as a health director and program specialist for federal, state, and local public health programs. Before joining SIU School of Medicine in Fall 2018, I was the Direct HIV/HCV Testing Grant Manager for the Illinois Department of Public Health. In this position, I monitored state-wide grants that administered community level interventions and enabled marginalized communities to have access to health prevention, care and treatment services.
