About Health System Science

The Health System Science (HSS) Division plays an important role in improving the health and well-being of Illinoisans in the 66-county service region. HSS identifies policies that impact health disparities, especially those in housing, access to healthcare and education. It then addresses disparities using evidence-based research to influence policy change.
