Chad Noggle, PhD ...

Chad A. Noggle, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychiatry, has been named chief of the psychiatry department's psycho-oncology division at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He also directs Side-by-Side, the patient and family supportive services for Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU.

Noggle joined SIU in 2009 and previously was on the faculty at Middle Tennessee State University (2009) and Ball State University (BSU) (2008). He completed a two-year postdoctoral residency in pediatric and adult/geriatric clinical neuropsychology at Indiana Neuroscience Institute/St. Vincent's Hospital (2008). He earned doctoral and master's degrees in school psychology with specialization in clinical neuropsychology at BSU (2006, 2004). He earned his bachelor's in psychology at the University of Illinois Springfield (2003).

Noggle has published more than 200 articles, book chapters, encyclopedia entries and research abstracts. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology and International Neuropsychological Society.

A native of Illinois, Noggle is married to Jennifer (Wills) Noggle and has two children, Parker and Carsyn.
