The Department of Psychiatry of Southern Illinois University School of
Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member to fill the position of
Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry. The incumbent of the
position will serve as Medical Director for Alton Mental Health Center in
Alton, Illinois. The position is also responsible for instruction of students,
residents and other allied health professionals as well as participation in
clinical and research services.

Qualified applicants must be board certified in general psychiatry, must
be eligible for licensure as an M.D. or D.O. in the State of Illinois and must
have substantial experience directing an academic medical service.
Special interest, expertise and board certification in forensic psychiatry
is desirable. This position has been designated as security sensitive and
employment is contingent upon the result of a criminal background
investigation. Deadline for receipt of applications will be March 31, 2008
