Welcome to the Continuing Medical Education website of
the Department of Psychiatry. Continuing Medical
Education (CME) activities are those that are designed to
maintain, develop, and enhance one's medical knowledge
base and clinical practice skills that are needed to keep
pace with an ever changing healthcare landscape and
promote lifelong learning. To that end, the SIU
Department of Psychiatry provides a wide range of learning
opportunities for physicians and other healthcare professionals, including
weekly Grand Rounds. We are fortunate to be able to offer CME experiences
using innovative technologies in material delivery such as teleconferencing. 
We strive to provide nationally and internationally known lecturers who bring
new and original perspectives as well as have our own faculty and residents
bring present cutting edge information and practical clinical techniques.
