Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry SMS 1628

 
The Department of Psychiatry of Southern Illinois University School of
Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member to fill the position of
Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry.
 
The incumbent will conduct forensic evaluations and consult in the
management of the forensic inpatient units at McFarland Mental Health
Center, as well as perform forensic and clinical work in the SIU Adult
Outpatient Clinic. Incumbent will also provide educational training and
supervision of psychiatry residents, medical students and allied health
professionals in both settings, as well as participate in research functions
related to specialty interest and expertise.
 
Qualified individuals must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, must have completed
four years of approved residency training in psychiatry and be board
certified/eligible in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry, as well
as eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois. This position has been
designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the result
of a criminal background investigation. The closing date is May 31, 2006 or
