David H. Decker, M.D
Chief, Division of Child Psychiatry

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is part
of the Department of Psychiatry within the Southern
Illinois University School of Medicine. The Child
Psychiatry Division is responsible for providing
educational experiences to medical students and
psychiatric residents. Students participate during
their rotation through the Department of Psychiatry
and also in the form of electives of their choice during
their elective experience. The Division is involved in didactic teaching as
well as both inpatient and outpatient clinical experiences. In addition to
its educational role the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is
involved in providing clinical services and consultation services in the
greater Springfield area.
