Clerkship Required Experiences
Neurology/Psychiatry Rounds and Psychiatry Grand Rounds
Students are expected to attend these events. The dates can be found on
the Master Calendar of Activities.
AA Meeting
All students are required to attend one AA meeting during their
psychiatry clerkship. A reflective paper on the experience is required.

http://www.aaspringfield.org. Please note students should only attend sessions indentified by the acronym OD (open door).
ECT Experience
All students are required to observe three ECT days during their
psychiatry clerkship.
Journal Club
Each student will participate in a journal club activity during the
psychiatry clerkship. For detailed information, click on Journal Club.
On-Call Experience
Each student will participate in 3 on-call experiences during the
psychiatry clerkship. Refer to your on call schedule for your assigned
call dates. Residents must verify student participation by signing the appropriate space on the RPE card.

Weekend
Rounds
Dependent upon individual schedules, students will be assigned weekend
rounds. Click on weekend rounds for an explanation of your preparation
for this assignment.
Psychiatry Seminar Series
Students are required to participate in scheduled psychiatry seminar series.

Mentor Meetings
All students are required to meet with their resident mentor a minimum
of 2 times during the clerkship. One meeting is required by midterm.
Mentors should sign off on the meetings on the RPE card. For detailed
