Thomas Miller

Thomas Miller, M.D., Program Director, Associate Professor

Dr. Miller served in a faculty position at his residency program until joining the Quincy faculty in 1994. He currently is an Associate Professor and program director of QFMR. He has special interests in maternal and child health, smoking cessation, family practice procedures, and wellness & health promotion. Tom and wife Mary watch movies, play pool and spend as much time as they can with their grown daughters. Tom likes to golf, plays racquetball and enjoys fitness pursuits like yoga, body weight training, biking and exercise videos

Paula Mackrides

Dr. Mackrides joined the Quincy Faculty in September 2004.Prior to this, she was faculty at the Harrisburg Family Medicine Residency in Harrisburg, PA. Outside of work, She enjoys spending time with her two children and their various animals on her farm.

James Daniels

Dr. Daniels, or J.D., as he is known, joined the faculty at SIU-Springfield in 1995, where he served as director. In 1997 he joined the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy faculty where he currently heads the Sports Medicine Fellowship. He enjoys being with his family, soccer, and being a Quincy University fan.

 
Timothy Ott

Dr. Ott joined the faculty in 2010. He relocated here from Pennsylvania and is new to Quincy. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids. In his spare time he likes to go camping and being in the outdoors. He also enjoys antiqueing.

William Dixon

William Dixon, M.D., Assistant Professor and Director of Educational Innovation

Dr. Dixon joined the faculty at SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy in January 2014. After residency, he was a rural physician in Memphis, MO, and started a hospitalist service as well providing ER services and a traditional family medicine practice. He returned to the residency after working as a Hospitalist at Blessing Hospital. Bill and his wife Ann stay busy with their 3 children, stealing time for a ball game or camping/canoe trip when the children's schedules allow them time to do so.

 
Joseph Kim

Dr. Debra Phillips joined the Quincy staff as Associate Director in August 1983. She is a full Professor with special interests in rural health, geriatrics and medical informatics. She started the East Adams Rural Health Clinic in Golden,Illinois. As Chief Medical Informatics Officer of Blessing Hospital, she has been involved in the award winning electronic health record for Blessing, offices and region. Currently, Dr. Phillips focus is with medical informatics.

Donna White, M.D

Dr. White joined the faculty directly out of residency in 1996 as Assistant Professor. She has special interests in maternal and child healthcare, as well as rural health care. Dr. White has her clinic at East Adams County Rural Health Clinic. In her spare time she can be found reading, biking, or on the occasional trip to Disney World.

 
Merle Muller

Dr. Merle Muller joined the faculty of the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy Residency in 2011.  He is the Associate Director of the SIU Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. Football keeps Dr. Muller' interest peaked during the year. Dr. Muller also enjoys spending time with his wife, 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Malcom Findlater

Dr. Findlater joined the faculty in 2015 as Assistant Professor. He has special interests in missionary work and has travelled to Nyakato, Tanzania. Dr. Findlater has his clinic at East Adams County Rural Health Clinic in Golden, IL. He has two grown sons. He enjoys following St. Louis Cardinal baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes sports.

Erica has a special interest in Musculoskeletal and Point of Care Ultrasound with a focus on Sports Medicine Care, seeing patients at Blessing Physician Services. She also is the tutor group leader/preceptor for the PA students at SIUQFMR.

Theresa Oakley, a Quincy native, has a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics. She is the mother of five grown children and has three grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys tandem biking, walking, reading and traveling.

Mary Kay joined the faculty in 2015. She has special interests in preventative and health maintenance care. Mary Kay enjoys family activities with the kids and church. She likes to travel and go skiing in Colorado with her family. She also likes gardening, walking, biking and swimming.

Rebecca joined the faculty in 2016. She has special interest in wellness and health promotion. Rebecca enjoys time with her 2 children and grandbabies. But most of all she enjoys living life to its fullest and helping others do so as well.

Rhonda Kewney joined the organization in 1990 as a consultant and accepted a full time position in 2000. She is Director of the Behavioral Health Services, supervising the clinical staff and teaching behavioral science to residents.

David Knorr

Dave came to the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy in 2012.  He has worked in  private practice and community mental health for 25 years and has a strong personal interest in both individual and family therapy.  He lives on a small farm with his wife, Susie and enjoys working with horses and visiting grandchildren.

 
Stacy Melton

Stacy joined the faculty in November of 2009. She is a counseler with our Peds Care program. Her interests include spending time with her family, exercising, and taking trips to Florida during the winter.

JoAnn O'Rourke

JoAnn O'Rourke, L.C.P.C.

JoAnn joined the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy in 2009 and helped to build the PEDS CARE program which was created to provide integrated behavioral health services for children within the medical clinic. The program has expanded and she provides individual, family and group therapy for children and adults.  JoAnn also assists in education of the residents in behavioral health issues, particularly regarding children's mental health.

Jeanne Hill

Jeanne Hill,
Family Medicine Administrator

Jeanne joined SIU School of Medicine in 2008 as the Family Medicine Administrator in Quincy. She oversees the administrative aspects of clinical operations, budget preparation and management, grant and contract administration, human resources, and community relations at the department's residency program and medical offices. She graduated from Quincy University, in Quincy, Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and from Western Illinois University with a Masters in Business Administration. In addition to her education, Jeanne has also earned her CPA. Prior to joining SIU, she worked for Hannibal Regional Hospital as Director of Accounting, and at Blessing Hospital in the Fiscal Service department. Jeanne is a member of the Illinois Rural Health Association. She received the Merit Award from Illinois Rural Health Association in 2013 for her work in changing legislation to better serve the patients of Illinois.

Mary Ann Epley

Mary Ann Epley,
Residency Coordinator

Mary Ann is Residency Coordinator of the residency program and is the smiling face callers often first contact at QFMR (believe us, she is always smiling, even on a bad day!). She can also be bribed with chocolate! Contact Mary Ann to schedule a 2 or 4 week rotation. She also schedules interviews for the residency program

Linda Savage

Linda Savage, Sports Medicine Fellowship Coordinator

Linda had served as our invaluable resident secretary for 11 years prior to becoming the sports medicine fellowship coordinator in 2003. Linda is the go-to person for anything sports related. She is also the contact person for prospective candidates to schedule interviews for the fellowship program and for residents and medical students to schedule musculoskeletal or sports medicine electives with Dr. Daniels. Linda also provides support to the residency program for both family and behavioral medicine.

Beth Koehler

Beth Koehler,
Scheduling Specialist

Beth acts as the master scheduler. She helps create the clinic schedule every month, along with the chief residents. She also coordinates vacations and faculty schedules, as well as works on the web site. Definitely a woman with many hats!

Adam

Adam Bruns, IT Technical Associate

Adam joined SIU School of Medicine in 2008 and is responsible for a broad range of activities essential to the development and operation of Information Technology, particularly the implementation and ongoing sustainability of the Electronic Health Record. He graduated from John Wood Community College with an Associates Degree in Computer Science.

Andrew Stuckman

IT Support Associate

Andrew Joined SIU School of Medicine in 2015. He is responsible for supporting the SIU Center for Family Medicine - Quincy team with computer related inquires, the operation of Information Technology, and assisting with implementing new technology, to better serve it's patients. He graduated from Vatterott College with an Associates Degree in Computer Science.

The mission of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is to assist the people of central and southern Illinois in meeting their health care needs through education, patient care, research, and service to the community.
