Dr. Robbins received his undergraduate degree in physical therapy in 1994 from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, graduating with special distinction. He received his medical degree in 2002 also from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His family medicine residency was completed at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois in 2005, and Dr. Robbins earned a master’s degree in healthcare management at the University of Texas in Dallas in 2010. Dr. Robbins was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Alpha Eta Honor Societies. Before joining SIU Family Medicine Residency, he was a primary care physician with the W.G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
