"The inpatient medicine service is truly Family Medicine at its core. You take care of adults, children, OB patients and newborns." What is living in Springfield like for you? "I like being outside and there are lots of nice parks. I'm still discovering new activities in and around Springfield. Springfield isn't that big, but there's plenty to do." What are your future plans? "I plan to practice in a semi-rural area in a small group practice, including OB. I'd like to return to teaching and/or academia at some point in the future." How does this program prepare you for the real world? "I really think that this residency's clinical office experience is extremely strong at preparing residents for private office practice, especially with experience interacting with office staff and using EHR."
