In addition, excellent exposure to clinical practices; possibility of doing obstetrics with additional training (OB track); rural medicine experience; Pediatric experience in SIU Children Hospital; oportunities to learn about Sports Medicine and geriatrics; organization; team work (noticed in the observership) and background were another factors that I found great about my program." What makes this residency unique? "We are a great team. We help each other all the time. I think that one of the most important things is that you have everything that you need to be an excellent family physician." What is living in Springfield like for you? "Nice town. Everything is close. Nice restaurants. Very friendly people. Soccer, raquetball and tennis everywhere." What are your future plans? "I would love to be working as a hospitalist in a resident program or in a private practice. I love to teach. I like OB, geriatrics and sport medicine."
