What attracted you to this program?
"The prestigious name of the program. Faculty and residents are laid back and it makes learning easier. The two Hospitals provide a wide variety of patients. There is good balance between the academic and the hands on training."

What makes this residency unique?
"The faculty and the residents are a great team to work with. Most of the faculty are involved in community outreach programs and it is a nice oppurtunity for the residents to participate in these programs. The program tries to mold your schedule to your area of interest in the 2nd and 3rd years."

What is living in Springfield like for you?
"My family is from St. Louis, so it is great to live close to my family. Springfield itself is a peaceful, nice town. Everything is close by and readily available."

What are your future plans?
"I would like to pursue a fellowship in geriatrics and would love to join a residency program for future practice."
