Instructor and Coordinator - Behavioral Science Program

Ms. Snyder completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Sangamon State University in Springfield, Illinois, in 1995. She received her master’s in social work from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in July, 1998. Before joining the faculty at the program, Linda worked at Memorial Medical Center on the adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units. She also was a psychiatric nurse at Andrew McFarland State Mental Hospital and a program therapist at St. Monica’s Center, where she worked with the Department of Children and Family Services wards. As the coordinator of the Behavioral Science Program, Linda facilitates the interdisciplinary training of family medicine residents with the support of grant funding. Linda works on helping family medicine residents recognize and address psychosocial, mental health and substance dependence issues throughout the lifespan.
