John Wang, MD
Medical School:
What attracted you to this program?
From the beginning it was evident that this program possesses many
qualities that other programs strive to achieve to be: Strong leadership,
dedicated faculty, supportive environment, and numerous pathology. Strong emphasis is placed on a patient centered approach by examining and treating
patients from a holistic view. This is refreshing as I can see the difference
it makes in our patient's lives as oppose to being another pill mill. There is
not a day that goes by that I don't learn something new from faculty or from my
patients as opposed to feeling the need to churn out products like I am on a
assembly line.
What is living in Springfield like for you?
What's great about this place is it has all that you need but should the need
arise to embrace city living both Chicago, and St. Louis are within driving
distance.
What are your future plans?
I don't know at this moment, but I am open minded to what opportunities present itself down the road.
What will your future practice be?
What's great about family medicine is that the training allows you to
be confident in treating the skeletal immature to the elderly. It's
versatile and allows you work in the medical field as well as outside of it.
