Iris E. Wesley Administrative Director Ms. Wesley was born in St. Charles, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She currently serves as Administrative Director for the SIU Center for Family Medicine and is responsible for program finances and operations. Prior to coming to Springfield, Ms. Wesley held the position of Administrative Assistant at the University of Missouri, Columbia from 1972 to 1977, and as Research Administrator at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville from 1977 to 1980. Since moving to Springfield, she has spent the past 17 years at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine serving in various capacities from grants administration to practice plan administration. Eight of the 17 years were spent as the Assistant to the Chair and Instructor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She is a member of the Association of Family Practice Administrators, the Medical Group Management Association and the Illinois Rural Health Association. She and her husband have three children and several grandchildren.
