Resident Stipend:

First Year: $44,854 + one time $3000 recruitment bonus at the time of temporary licensure
Second Year: $45,137
Third Year: $46,821

Insurance:
Malpractice, disability and life insurance are provided for residents at no cost by the sponsoring institution.  Health insurance covering residents and dependents is also available.  There are several plans to choose from at varying cost per plan.

Vacation and Leave:
All residents receive 3 weeks vacation and one week educational time.  A $1,000 education stipend is provided in each year of residency.   In addition, funds for travel to a meeting at which a resident is presenting a paper, or for an approved special topic, are usually available.

Uniforms:
Lab coats and name tags are provided at no cost to the resident.

Meals:
Residents receive a meal discount at Memorial Medical Center and St. John's Hospital and free meals when on call in either hospital.

Call:
First Year:          Every three to five nights.
Second Year:      Every seven to fourteen nights.
Third Year:         Every fourteen nights.
