Dr. Robert L. Miller is an associate professor of surgery for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He specializes in general thoracic and peripheral vascular surgery with a strong interest in endovascular surgery. He is board certified in general and thoracic surgery. Prior to joining SIU, Dr. Miller was in private practice in Carbondale.
Dr. Miller completed both his residencies in general and thoracic surgeries from the University of California affiliated hospitals in Irvine, California. Prior to that, he completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Miller completed a bachelor’s of arts at the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Miller is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Cardiology.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Miller is married and has four children.
