TIMELINE

May-June
Apply for EM rotations both at your institution and away institutions.
Schedule to have anesthesia elective early in 4th year.

July-October
Home and away institution EM rotations (Most commonly 2 EM rotations during your 4th year is the norm. Can do more however not a lot is gained unless done at a site where the student is very interested in applying for residency there)
Obtain LOR from EM rotations
Complete ERAS application and have ready to submit when dean’s letters come out

October-January
Schedule light rotations during this time so that you will be flexible with arranging interview dates.

• Schedule interviews and send thank you cards after interviews are done

February

• Late interview dates

March

• MATCH!!!
