    About me

    Dr. Adam Reid is an Associate Professor of Surgery and a partner of the surgical critical care team with specialized training in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery. Dr. Reid sees patients with the Southern Illinois Trauma surgical team as well as in a general surgery clinic setting.

    Prior to joining SIU, he completed fellowships in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as well as surgical critical care at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Reid earned his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency at SIU School of Medicine.

    Dr. Reid is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
