    About me

    Dr. Devin Amin is a neurosurgeon and an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

    Dr. Amin completed his Neurosurgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery after finishing med school at University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.  Dr. Amin also earned a PhD in Biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Dr. Amin has a special interest and surgical expertise in endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery.  His research interests include Image Guided Surgery.

    Dr. Amin has been awarded the Excellence in Medical Teaching Award at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, & 2022.
