Brief Bio
Dr. Bulent Cetindag, Assistant Professor of Surgery, specializes in trauma and critical care as well as general surgery. He recently completed his residency in general surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Prior to that, he served a fellowship in surgical critical care at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He received his medical school training at Ege University School of Medicine, Izmir, Turkey. He has served in various capacities as a cardiothoracic surgeon with SIU School of Medicine, having previously been trained as a cardiothoracic surgeon in his homeland of Turkey.
Dr. Cetindag is a member of several medical societies, including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has authored several book chapters and articles and has multiple research interests.
