Brief Bio

Dr. Jarrod Wall, Assistant Professor of Surgery, specializes in trauma and critical care.  He received both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.  He received his medical training from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.  He completed his surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in surgical critical care at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Dr. Wall is a member of several medical societies, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.  His research interests include the influence of obesity, inflammatory markers and their impact on outcome for patients involved in trauma.  In addition he has achieved Instructor status for the Advanced Trauma Life Support course responsible for teaching and judging physicians skills in caring for critically injured patients.
