Tamra Ehlts is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Orthopaedics at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She sees pediatric orthopaedic patients and specializes in the treatment of pediatric fractures and common pediatric concerns such as intoeing, bowlegs and knock-knees. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Tamra was a lead instructor at MedTech College in Greenwood, Indiana. Other previous work experience included a staff nurse at Riley Hospital for Children at Indianapolis as well as a pediatric travel nurse in several cities.
Tamra obtained her Master of Science in Nursing at Indiana University School of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her nursing diploma at Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing, Peoria, Illinois.
Tamra is a member of several organizations including the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
