Spine Surgery

Jacob Monsivais is a Certified Physician’s Assistant for the Orthopaedics Division at the SIU School of Medicine.  Jacob works alongside SIU’s highly qualified spine surgeons, enabling him to give more complete spine care to his patients. Jacob is able to evaluate, treat, refer and collaborate with other physicians in both the general clinic and operative settings.  Jacob’s practice is devoted to the care and management of the adult orthopaedic patient with a focus on spine.

Jacob received his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. He received his bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University, Orem, Utah.
Jacob is certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
