Galina Polevaya is a Certified Physician’s Assistant for the Orthopaedics Division at SIU School of Medicine. Galina works alongside SIU’s highly qualified spine surgeons, enabling her to give more complete spine care to her patients. She is able to evaluate, treat, refer and collaborate with other physicians in both the general clinic and operative settings. Galina’s practice is devoted to the care and management of the adult orthopaedic patient with a focus on spine.
Galina received her medical degree from Novosibirsk State Medical University, located in Novosibirsk , Russia. She holds a Master’s in Medical Studies and received her Physician’s Assistant certification at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. She is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants.
Galina is certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
