Patient Care

Dr. Tamara Pylawka, Assistant Professor of Surgery, specializes in sports medicine, including elbow and shoulder surgery, knee arthroscopy, ACL ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and care of young arthritic knees. 

Dr. Pylawka completed a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard-Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston as well as an orthopaedic research fellowship at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.  She completed her residency training in orthopaedics at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.  She earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College.

Dr. Pylawka has clinical and research interests in all aspects of sports medicine.  She is a member of the Ortho Trauma Association, International Cartilage Research Society, American  Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
