John M. Sigle, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. John Sigle is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the SIU Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in all areas of foot and ankle care including trauma, ankle fractures, achilles ruptures, ankle and foot pain, heel pain, arthritis, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, diabetic ulcers, and bunions. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a 3-year comprehensive residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Most recently, Dr. Sigle completed a foot and ankle residency with a focus on trauma and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region in San Francisco, Oakland, and Walnut Creek, California.
Dr. Sigle is board certified in foot surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has advanced certification from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Sigle is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. He has completed several specialty courses, multiple research papers, and has served as a guest lecturer at podiatric courses. Dr. Sigle serves on the Physician’s Panel for Memorial Medical Center’s Wound Healing Center.
