After completion of training at SIU, residents feel comfortable going straight into a general practice. In fact, roughly 25% of graduating residents enter private general practice without obtaining a fellowship. Residents that do choose to further subspeciailize obtain great fellowships around the country and have the opportunity to train with the leaders in their future fields.
