The SIU School of Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery faculty and staff strongly believe that research is the crux of innovation and success. As such, SIU SOM Orthopaedic Surgery residents have a strong support system and environment in place to conduct research and publish manuscripts in reputable orthopaedic journals.
Orthopod Cast is a quarterly newsletter put out by the SIU SOM Orthopaedic Surgery research staff to inform faculty and staff of recent news about the Division, reminders for upcoming meetings and deadlines, award (each month) a resident for his/her outstanding research or education accomplishments, and share peer feedback about current resident research projects. Feel free to browse through the past issues of the newsletter to get a feel for the strong research presence that SIU SOM Orthopaedic Surgery embodies.
