Area(s) of Expertise: fracture repair, nonunion repair, malunion repair, pelvic and acetabular fracture repair, hip joint salvage, care of the multiply injured patient, polytrauma
I completed two fellowships after residency in orthopaedic traumatology and have 20 years of experience caring for the multiply injured or polytraumatized patients who have needed complex fracture repair, including pelvic and acetabular fractures. The need for nonunion and malunion repair is a result of the complex fracture repair that does not heal as expected. Hip joint salvage is relatively new and similar to acetabular fracture repair but done to prevent degenerative arthritis of the hip.
- Percutaneous fixation of pelvic fractures
- Minimally invasive fracture fixation
- Surgical dislocation of the hip
- Peri-acetabular osteotomies
- Spatial external fixation
