Luke Rylander, MD

  • Hometown: Oneida, IL
  • Med School: University of Illinois School of Medicine - Peoria
  • Why SIU? By far the best part of this residency is the other residents.  They are all very hard workers who get along well and are committed to educating each other. They are friends, not just colleagues. Springfield is a very affordable, small city. The hospital is accessible within15 minutes from pretty much everywhere in town and commute time to work is less than 10 minutes for most residents.
  • Fellowship: University of Colorado Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship

Aundrea Rainville, MD

Eric Varboncouer, MD

  • Hometown: Beaverville, IL
  • Med School: University of Illinois School of Medicine at Peoria
  • Why SIU? I am lucky to work with some of the best residents that one could imagine.  My relationship with my attendings is very friendly and they are interested in me as a person beyond my role as a resident.  My surgical training has prepared me extremely well to go into general orthopaedic practice if I desire.  Springfield is very safe, affordable, and low stress.
  • Fellowship: California Pacific Shoulder Surgery Fellowship, San Francisco, CA (Dr. E. Wolf)
