Evan Armington, MD

  • Hometown: Carmel, IN
  • Med School: Indiana University School of Medicine
  • Why SIU? It feels like the individuals in our program have a stronger bond than most other places where I interviewed or rotated. We are colleagues inside the hospital and good friends outside the hospital. It's those relationships in addition to our top notch operative and didactic experiences that truly sets our program apart.

Matt Lovell, MD

  • Med School: Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine (University of Iowa)
  • Why SIU? Great group of residents and a great operative experience with exposure to both academic and private attendings.

Jake Sams, MD

  • Hometown: Mt Zion, Il
  • Undergraduate: Illinois State University Med School: SIU Why SIU? SIU offers a wide variety of opportunities in regards to research, academics, and operative experience. Our operative experience begins early and provides the opportunity to work with a large number of surgeons across all subspecialties and general orthopaedics. Complementing this aspect of the program are the consistently high OITE score and boards pass-rate. I knew it would be a great place for a well-rounded experience.
