The Division of orthopaedics and Rehabilitation deals with musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries Image of pillswhich can be painful and may require narcotic prescription medications and we follow a standard prescription protocol to optimize your care.

To minimize possible drug interaction and to avert side-effects from narcotic use, it is our policy to provide prescription only for the initial or immediate six weeks following the procedure or injury.  Our concerns are that pain that persists and lasts longer than six weeks, may lead to chronic pain syndrome and may be associated with significant complications and potential drug interactions.

For staffing reasons, we kindly ask that if you anticipate a need for prescription refill, that you call during office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and to please allow 24- 48 hours for us to process that request.
Refills can be obtained through our pharmacy

We thank you for your compliance.
