Resident Life

Welcome to SIU orthopaedics! In this section we hope to continue to give you a glance into what real life is like as a resident at SIU. We are obviously very proud of the program and excited about the direction we are going. As residents we feel that residency at SIU allows us to have a very balanced life.  The camaraderie between the residents is great and allows for a more comfortable and supportive training environment. We are compliant with the ACGME standards for the work week and actually have a nice life outside of the hospital.  There are a lot of great activities in Springfield and as a resident here we have the time to enjoy them. We hope that you will gain a good insight into our program through these pages and will consider us in your application process.
