Orthopaedic Residents

The ortho residents at SIU welcome you to our website. It was created to help you, the prospective residents, evaluate the program, the faculty, and most importantly the residents.
SIU has a large faculty, including both academic and community attendings, which allows early and extensive operative exposure with a variety of cases.
The residents are from all over the country and remain a very close knit group. We believe that most programs provide a strong base for fellowship and general practice, so the difference lies in the people involved with the program. We feel this is what sets us apart.
We cannot begin to emphasize how beneficial spending an away rotation at SIU has been in the past few years, for those who wish to match at SIU. This of course does not assure you a spot, but can definitely help.
