Mary Knox

Brief Biography

Mary Knox is an Advanced Practice Nurse in the Division of Urology at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2009. She is board-certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Knox practices in collaboration with Dr. Tobias Kohler, specializing in the treatment of male infertility, erectile and sexual dysfunction. Her research and clinical interests include female sexual dysfunction, male sexual dysfunction, and fertility preservation prior to cancer treatment.
Prior to joining Southern Illinois University, Ms. Knox earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed nursing school at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She worked as a registered nurse at several hospitals in the Chicago area, including the University of Chicago Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Swedish Covenant Hospital.
