James Pan, MD
Division of Vascular Surgery
Dr. Pan is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He attended an accelerated combined degree program in medicine, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in science in 2003 from Youngstown State University in Ohio and medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2007. He then completed a general surgery residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH in 2012, followed by a 2-year fellowship in vascular surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pan is board-certified in general surgery and board-eligible in vascular surgery. He specializes in the treatment of arterial occlusive diseases, aneurysms, venous disorders, wound care, and is involved in creating dialysis access for patients with end stage renal disease. He has particular interest in minimally invasive techniques for lower extremity occlusive diseases and aneurysms as well as being actively involved in the education of both surgical residents and medical students at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pan is a fellow associate of the American College of Surgeons and candidate member of the Society of Vascular Surgery.
