Hints for Slide ERG 22.

Note carefully the tissues which comprise both the tubules and the stroma.

  • The cells lining the tubules are not very well preserved.  But note that there are nuclei of various sizes.
  • Also note that among the cells of the tubules are many, very tiny, very densely-basophilic specks.  Correct recognition should include an easy explanation for these specks.
  • The stroma includes numerous blood vessels, loose collagen fibers, and associated fibroblasts.  But this stroma also contains scattered cells with conspicuous acidophilic cytoplasm.

No more hints.
